Your Testimony Matters

šŸ“– ā€œIn everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.ā€ — Matthew 7:12 (NASB)

So often, I find it hard to share my testimony because it is so layered. Some parts cut so deep that I have not fully healed from them yet. But I trust God to do a complete work. I decided a long time ago that my testimony is not just mine—it belongs to the Lord. And while sharing it may expose others who claim to know Him, Scripture reminds us:

ā€œAt the Final Judgment, thousands are going to say to me, ā€˜Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God-sponsored projects had everyone talking.’ And do you know what I am going to say? ā€˜You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don’t impress me one bit. You’re out of here.ā€™ā€ — Matthew 7:22-23 (MSG)

I will not be silent. There are women of God going through what I’ve been through—and worse. The Bible says, ā€œThey defeated him through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their witness.ā€ (Revelation 12:11, MSG). If my testimony helps just one woman overcome, then God will be pleased with my obedience.

The church taught me to be transparent, but God is teaching me to be vulnerable.

Breaking Free From the Lie

I can remember back in 2023 when life took a turn, and I grew weary of living a lie before God’s people. I was unhappy—preaching, teaching, loving, and being an example of God’s character while drowning inside.

The leaders around me convinced us that if we didn’t act like everything was ā€œall good,ā€ then we weren’t truly believing in God. They taught us that acknowledging real struggles meant we were magnifying the devil. So we were only allowed to speak praise—never pain.

But now, I know the truth: It is my right to tell my testimony. It strengthens the people and teaches resilience in faith.

The enemy creeps in when we give our ears to the wrong voices. I was so blinded by love that I gave everything to man’s voice instead of God’s. Sixteen years of darkness. But in 2020, God started waking me up inside and calling me back to Him. The closer I got to God, the more my ex-husband began to hate me.

I started speaking out. I came out of agreement with the ungodly lifestyle I had covered for 16 years. And suddenly, the world around me grew cold and lonely. But God always provides a way of escape.

God’s Rescue and My New Beginning

God saw I was in danger. He saw I was dying. So He stepped in.

It is terrifying to be out here alone, trying to rebuild a life, breaking free from demonic ties, and raising a family while the world looks at you like you are nothing—just because you no longer stand on the platforms they once put you on.

So many women are fighting this battle in secret. Because the moment they speak up, the church casts them out. Women are built differently. We are vaults, carrying secrets and burdens, while men step on us to remain on top.

This journey has not been easy. But there is hope, and there is help.

Encouragement for Those Still in the Fight

If you are reading this and feel trapped, hear me: You are not alone. God sees you. He has not abandoned you. The voices that try to silence you do not speak for Him.

Jesus Himself set boundaries—He withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16), He walked away from the crowds when it was time to move forward (Mark 1:35-38), and He never let the opinions of men dictate His mission.

You have the right to set boundaries, too.

Your worth is not tied to how much you give to people who only take. Your value is not in a platform, a title, or a pulpit. Your value is in Christ.

God is calling you to heal. To rest. To trust that He is your defender.

A Prayer for Strength and Courage

Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up every woman reading these words today. You see their pain, their silent struggles, and their exhaustion. Lord, I ask that You give them holy boldness to walk in truth. That they will no longer be afraid of the faces of men or the rejection of those who once applauded them.

Lord, Your Word says, ā€œBecause I, your God, have a firm grip on you and I’m not letting go. I’m telling you, ā€˜Don’t panic. I’m right here to help you.ā€™ā€ (Isaiah 41:13, MSG).

Remind them that You are right here. That You are their helper, their strength, and their defender. Give them peace as they set boundaries and step into the healing You have prepared for them. May they never fear man again.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
